Odd Man Out
"The Yellow Taxi show marked [Odd Man Out's] second professional staging. . . . With a tweak here or there, I can easily imagine it opening off Broadway. The acting, [in Yellow Taxi's production], was just on the near side of steller." Robert Greene, Hippo Press, 10/6/2005.

2010 NH Professional Theatre Auditions
New Hampshire students and adult residents with dreams of working in theatre—on stage, backstage or in a business capacity—are encouraged to register for the 2010 New Hampshire Professional Theatre Association Auditions and Job Fair, scheduled to take place February 20 at Plymouth State University’s Silver Center for the Arts. The Auditions and Job Fair, now its third year, gives participants the opportunity to meet with representatives from more than a dozen of the state’s professional theatres that are seeking cast members and staff for the 2010 summer and fall seasons. More than 800 people will work in New Hampshire’s professional theatre industry during that time. Each year, several participants in the Auditions and Job Fair are hired directly because they participated in the event. The Auditions and Job Fair is open to New Hampshire college and university students as well as to New Hampshire residents enrolled in higher education out of state. Adult New Hampshire residents interested in working backstage or in marketing, administrative or box office capacities, or who would like to audition for onstage roles, may also participate.  “The New Hampshire Professional Theatre Association has found the Auditions and Job Fair an excellent way to make smart hiring decisions,” said Lyn Winter, managing director of the Weathervane Theatre. “It’s also been a great way to let talented people know that indeed, they can work in an exciting, creative field and stay close to home.” The New Hampshire Professional Theatre Association Auditions and Job Fair is just one project to come out of the Governor’s Jobs Cabinet, which focuses on creating and identifying job opportunities statewide. “People often have the mistaken idea that acting is the only job in theatre,” said Van McLeod, commissioner of the Department of Cultural Resources. “Actually, there are all sorts of jobs—paying jobs—that people with a variety of skills can do, from working in the box office to doing marketing to constructing sets to making costumes. “The New Hampshire Professional Theatre Association Auditions and Job Fair is an opportunity to do something that you excel at, right here in New Hampshire, while being part of an industry that’s respected worldwide,” he added.
